GridLogicGames Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-29
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how GridLogicGames ("we", "our", "us") handles data in our mixed-audience mobile app. It describes local storage, third-party integrations, age-gate behavior, and the controls used to align with COPPA, Google Play Families policy expectations, and Apple platform privacy requirements.
2. Age gate and audience modes
On first launch, the app asks for birth year using a neutral, no-pressure flow. We use birth year only to determine whether a user is in the Under 13 or 13+ audience mode.
- Under 13 mode: child-directed ad configuration, non-personalized ads, and limited data collection.
- 13+ mode: standard ad configuration and fuller analytics functionality.
We do not need full date of birth for this classification.
3. What data is stored locally on your device
The app stores settings and local gameplay data in on-device app storage.
| Local data item | Purpose | Where stored |
|---|---|---|
| Birth year and age band (Under 13 / 13+) | Audience-mode selection for compliance and ad/analytics behavior | On-device app storage |
| Audio settings (SFX/music) | Remember your preferences | On-device app storage |
| AI difficulty | Default game difficulty preference | On-device app storage |
| Ad-removal status | Persist "Remove Ads" purchase state on device | On-device app storage |
| Completed game count, wins/losses | Gameplay counters and local stats | On-device app storage |
| Achievement progress and unlocks | Track achievement unlocks, XP earned, categories, and unlock dates | On-device app storage |
| Daily/weekly challenge progress | Track current and completed challenges, progress toward targets, and XP earned from challenges | On-device app storage |
| Challenge popup dismissal flag | Remember if you dismissed the challenge popup on first load | On-device app storage |
Active in-progress game state is handled in memory during gameplay and is not currently a cloud-save feature. Achievement and challenge data persists across app sessions and restarts.
Automatic data collection by third-party services
In addition to locally stored data above, third-party services integrated into the app may automatically collect the following when you use the app:
- Device identifiers — such as the advertising ID (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS), used for ad delivery and measurement.
- App activity — gameplay events, session duration, feature interactions, and in-app purchase activity, used for analytics and product improvement.
- Crash logs and diagnostics — crash reports, stack traces, and performance data, used to identify and resolve stability issues.
Collection of the above is subject to the audience mode in effect (see section 4) and each provider's own privacy terms.
4. Third-party integrations and age-dependent behavior
- Google AdMob: used to serve banner/interstitial ads in the free version.
- Firebase Analytics: used for product analytics and gameplay telemetry where enabled.
- Firebase Crashlytics: used for crash reporting, diagnostics, and app stability monitoring.
- Google Play Billing: used to process and restore in-app purchases (such as Remove Ads).
Third-party providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
| Audience mode | Ads behavior | Analytics behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Under 13 | Child-directed settings and non-personalized ad experience | Limited/disabled collection to reduce data processing |
| 13+ | Standard ad experience, including personalization where permitted | Full analytics collection |
5. How we use data
- Run game features and remember user preferences.
- Determine audience mode from birth year for policy-compliant ad and analytics behavior.
- Provide ads for free users and enforce Remove Ads purchases.

6. Data we do not directly request for gameplay
We do not require account registration for gameplay and do not directly request your real name, home address, or phone number in normal game use.

8. Data retention
- Local app data: retained on your device until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
- Third-party processed data: retained according to each provider's retention policy.
9. Your choices and controls
- You can clear local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
- You can manage ad privacy options and advertising identifiers through device settings where supported.
- You can purchase Remove Ads to disable in-app advertising.
- You can use in-app controls (if available) to update privacy-related settings.
10. Children and mixed-audience protections
GridLogicGames is operated as a mixed-audience app and applies additional restrictions to users classified as Under 13. We use age gating and audience-based service configuration to support child-protective behavior.
11. Platform-specific notes (Android/iOS)
Current ad and analytics integrations are primarily configured for Android builds. If iOS integrations are enabled, equivalent privacy controls and policy limits will be applied there as well.
Important: Apple Kids Category has stricter ad/tracking expectations. If the app is distributed in Kids Category, additional restrictions may apply, including disabling personalized advertising.
12. Legal rights
Depending on jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal data. We will honor applicable rights under relevant privacy laws.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data. No system is fully secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy over time. Material updates are reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
